Cool New Gear for our Summer Adventure

There are six more days until our trip. For our trip we got some pretty cool things to use. We will be traveling for 5+ weeks, so we have to pack and travel smartly.

For our carry-ons we got new backpacks. The type we got is a REI Co-op Trail 25 Pack.  My sister got a green color and mine is blue and orange.  Our parents got the same one except in a larger size, a 40. Some cool features of the backpack are it has a place to put in our Camelback bladders, it has a rain cover (which may come in handy as it is rainy/monsoon season where we are going), and padded area for a laptop, but I will use it as a tablet case.

Also part of our trip is with REI Adventures.  They sent us a traveler box full of stuff.  I like the T-shirt that says “REI adventure” and has a picture of an airplane going around the world. It also has a journal that has things to do and a diary.

I am also bringing a Hydro flask because it is very humid there and we are going to do lots of walking.  Hydro flasks are amazing.  Last week I took mine loaded with ice water to basketball camp at 9AM in the morning.  The ice was still there when my Mom emptied it at 6PM that evening.

We also got new Kindle Fire HD8s.  This new Kindle recently released has a camera, more storage, and more apps you can buy.   It also has the Alexa feature.  I like having her tell me jokes.  BUT the biggie is the battery life which is 8 hours. That will get me half way to Singapore.

I also want to shout out to one of my dear friends Ryah for being the first to comment on my blog.

Don’t forget to ask me questions or comment, I will be happy to answer.

Safe travels AJ's! Great new gear items for sure. REI is the best. The Pack, Hydro flask, and HD8 sound perfect for your trip. I saw the pic of you at SFO and was actually wondering how you packed the pack - with books, tablet, etc. only or did you add clothes? How heavy is your and your Sis pack? Love, Aunt Kathy
